Claire Denson’s writing appears or is forthcoming in The Iowa Review, The Cincinnati Review, The Missouri Review, The Massachusetts Review, Salt Hill Journal, and the minnesota review, among others. Her poems have been anthologized through Peach Mag, BOOTH, Terrapin Books, and Best of Versification as well as nominated for The Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and Best New Poets. Her work has been featured in Literary Hub, Micro Podcast, downtown Ann Arbor, and elsewhere.
She has received awards and support from Brooklyn Poets, Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, The International T. S. Eliot Society, the University of Michigan, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned her MFA, taught English courses, and taught in the University Writing Center.
Claire has worked with outlets such as 826National, The Adroit Journal, The Greensboro Review, and Foundry Literary + Media, and planned and managed various events. She now works with The National Book Foundation as a Teaching Artist and with Atmosphere Press as a Book Publication Manager. She lives in New York City.
